Hi
I'm going to spend the first week of May in South Korea :)
It will be my third time in Korea, after first going there last year to study abroad in Seoul, and then going to Korea again last fall to attend a concert. This time, I have no specific reason for going. The timing is solely based on Japanese holidays. It will be Golden Week in Japan, which means I'll have a few more days off (I admit I'm also going to skip class, but until now I've had perfect attendance). I booked my flights back in February and I'm going by myself. I like South Korea a lot, and since it's fairly easy to access from Japan, I'm taking this opportunity to go back again.
I'm so happy to spend time in Seoul again!!! It's one of my favorite cities. I'm planning on visiting my favorite areas, as well as go to some new places that weren't open yet the last time I was there. I also plan on shopping and meeting up with some of my Korean friends.
Since I'm still living in Japan, it's much easier to travel to South Korea. After my time studying abroad comes to an end, I will find myself on the other side of the world again. So I decided to go back to Seoul while it was still easy and inexpensive. I really love Seoul.

Jumbo Parfait
I think it's become obvious that I like ice cream and I enjoy eating all kinds of different parfaits that can be found in Japan. Well, this weekend my friends and I took on the challenge of eating a jumbo parfait! I organized and planned the event. It was at my favorite parfait cafe in Kyoto. They recommend 8 to 10 people for the jumbo parfait, and luckily we were a total of 10 people. The parfait cost 10,000 yen, which is approximately 100 USD or 70 euros.

花見 (2)
I did hanami in a park at night last week, but I didn't take any pictures. I went back to the park the next day to take pictures of the flowers. The time of the cherry blossoms is pretty much over now.

都をどり / Miyako Odori
I went to see a geisha dance performance in Kyoto one week ago. It is only performed during the month of April.

Hanami is popular in the spring during the short time that you can see the cherry blossoms. It is translated as "flower viewing". It's a big event all over Japan.
I went to Osaka Castle Park over a week ago to see the cherry blossoms.
